I feel that his sloppiness is directly caused by our excruciatingly slow pace of play. When other players are not in full stride, running and moving into space, he is not in his element. He needs "chaos" to play well. This will never happen under EV and his boring, rigid structure.

Nevertheless, he was unlucky today. One of his shots has been cms away from hitting the net.

Been saying for the last 2 seasons, our slow pace really hampers his performance.

His dribbling isn't like Neymar's, I mean he uses more of pace than trickery to get past players, with no pace he has problems getting past players.

I don't get why we don't pass to a player making run, unless there are 2-3 Barca players to accompany him. Also the players are too scared to shoot, I mean they keep passing even when near the box. I get that you can't shoot all the time, but we take just too much time in between passing that the opponent defenders get enough time to mark them.

Now this helps when Messi is around, because he can get past any player 1v1 & because then our sole aim is to get the ball to Messi somehow, but when Messi isn't around, or is heavily marked, we can't even penetrate defences. Just like what happened against Liverpool & in matches that Messi doesn't play.

In the 89th minute he made a similar mistake to that Liverpool's miss at 3:0.
He received the ball totally free and unmarked in the box, but then due to a bad first touch/weird first step/weird reaction, he totally ruined a simple sitter.
In the 75th minute, he also ruined a good counter with a horrible first touch.
** Also, a video is not showing that counter where he passed a simple pass straight into the opponent's legs around the minute 80'

needs better decisions, passing and shooting in tight spaces around and in the box.

Hopefully his speed, dribbling and run and gun in open spaces will shine when Barca's possession drops to around 50% against stronger teams.

He was going for a fake shot first touch. He does that often. Scored against Atletico like that. But yeah, he really needs to polish that move, the success rate is inconsistent.

I would like to see this link between Dembele Dejong more often.
Smart players recognize each other easily during the game.
beautiful dribble and very good vision.
Barça needs players like him who dare to defy the defenders to cause chaos on the other side.
The club will have to get rid of useless players, who play short passes for their safety, for example Rakitic, always useless and invisible.

Dembouz only at 1/3 if the way to full fitness and already putting on brazy performances like this.

Unreal season incoming.

You're welcome
Actually he’s looking better in the compilation. What stands out is that the ball doesnt jump off of his feet as much as it used to. His control has improved greatly. Now just not to get injured.

My prediction for Ousmane:

He'll start the season on the bench (Valverde has already hinted at that when he said "he's keen to see Antoine link up with Messi and Suarez") but will end it as an undisputed starter.

Feel free to discuss.

his ball control has always been precise, in the recent games he only turned it over dribbling when he was swarmed by multiple defenders
