Tbf he snaked Dortmund in a worse way so him snaking us shouldn't come as a surprise.

At least when Neymar snaked us he left 222m in cash on the table lol. We spent 140m on this guy to be injured half the time and leave us 25m it seems.

This time around it could be his agent upping the ante to put pressure on the club for a better deal, however I don't think so, I think PSG genuinely wants him, now more than ever, after all they are losing Mbappe soon and they need more outlets for their attack game.

As to the claim that the club wants to sell him, of course nobody can categorically claim XXX is not for sale for any price, not even the likes of Pedri, Araujo etc. But Dembele's name has never been mentioned in any of the transfer rumors (like Frenkie's has been) and more importantly from the sporting perspective it makes no sense for the club to sell him when he is clearly relied upon, considering the length the club went through last summer to renew him.

The question is if Dembele wants them.

Dembele didn't get anything last summer. He eventually signed an offer with a paycut and a much worse offer than the offer on the table on December 2021, which Moussa rejected as he deemed it 'too low'.
Barca won last summer, with the clause being the only black spot.
The renewal of course was not long-term solution, and everyone know we will come back again at the same spot, and negotiations will start over again

The financial side of thins is taken care my Moussa. Maybe Moussa has convinced him that he is worth 20m net per season. The sporting side THO is NOT. And Dembele never wanted to leave. Tuchel wanted him, especially after they didn't get Raphina, but the player rejected the move.

We will find out how much Dembele wants to stay here, or not, soon enough.

Come the business end of the season he'll be missing again. It's always the same; 'what could've been' with Dembouz. Decade of dominance loading.. yada yada.

If he does leave, is there any way we can bring Roque in this summer?

He actually wanted to stay last season and that's why he didn't leave for Chelsea or PSG even as a free agent, plus signing at a lesser salary and without a signing bonus.

Barca have probably given him their best offer, and would sell him if he doesn't accept it (i don't think their offer would ever meet PSG) so as not to make the mistake of lossing him as a free agent

Now one of the logical decision for Dembele is to leave now if he's not okay with Barca's offer cause much of the power leaves his hand in August as a higher release clause may lead to PSG decreasing whatever salary they're willing to give him. Finally it's all down to him
