Doesn't matter. A left footed softie and signing him from La Liga...giving me too many Lenglet vibes. We really need to stop going for these kind of soft defenders, who get easily bullied by world class attackers. What our defense needs, is a proper physical beast, but also good on the ball obviously. That's why Koulibaly would've been perfect...even if just for a few years. Wouldn't have even mattered, some of us especially older fans (who know just how much the market has gone to shit in the last 5 years and that there's basically no loyalty left, except for a select few at certain biggest clubs, when they have no reason to ever leave) like to be romantic sometimes and think we need to sign only 20 year olds and that we'll then have that position sorted for a decade.
Rarely works like that anymore...things in football change very quickly these days. That's why Koulibaly at 31 would've been just fine...he would've been a beast for us for at least 3-4 years...need to look at the profile more with him...just like with Lewy. A proper injection of world class quality and leadership, exactly what our defense sorely lacks, and until then we would've bought someone new to replace him.
