I have a bad feeling about Pogba. Big physical player who scores some long range golazos from midfield in Serie A with fancy footwork and marketed by Raiola = € 80M+ is a recipe for disaster IMO. I remember a similar Vidal hype train 2 seasons ago. His highlight to date in any meaningful game remains a funny dive in the Bernabeu.

Only 7 players across the top 5 leagues are more often dispossessed than Pogba and all of them are final third players. A terrible trait for a midfielder. What makes it even worse is that Serie A isn't exactly known for its pacey, high pressing nature. He has an equally high number of unsuccessful touches. I would be wary.

People constantly talk about Lucho's Barca in absolute terms, when we are unaware of its fate in 2 months, or until after the subsequent elections. We don't know if any of his potential successor would use the "organised chaos" as the prototype for his project. In which case, any purchase fitting Lucho's Barca may prove redundant in a changeover. Our current set-up has veered off from MF dominance to emphasis on individual brilliance. Whilst it may bring ephemeral high to those clamouring for change, I'm unconvinced of its efficacy long-term.

Haha I like the concept of "organised chaos" .. I too think it would be too many middfielders that can't pace the game if we get Pogba, it's gonna be box to box constantly and all comes down to individual performances, at least with maintining high possession we're sure we get ourselves a huge edge.

That's why i'd take Verratti over Pogba anyday, too bad he's absolutely not for sale..

You just have to give up on Koke and accept that throwing money at a problem doesn't always solve things. He resigned with Cholo's future in doubt, after Atleti sold Costa, Luis and sent Cortouis back on loan. Dude is loyal AF and will probably only be available after his prime. Atleti is also on the upswing, and with Cholo staying put plus this Chinese company investing more, will be a major player in Europe for years to come.

we still don't know if it's true, but L'Equipe said that PSG will be allowed to only spend 55M euros without selling this summer (Aurier's fee is already included as paid to Toulouse).

If true and if it doesn't change, PSG would need to sell one of his stars if they want to sign Pogba.

The only one that might be sold is Cavani, and even so, PSG still won't have the 100M required to sign Pogba.

That's why L'Equipe also shared that PSG will probably try to sign Di Maria instead (yeah zanela might be right in the end).

PSG is expected to sell all or a combination of : VDW, Lavezzi, Mattudi, Cavani, Motta.. they'll have the 100M€, they'd just be foolish to spend it all on one single player when middfield is not their biggest problem.

Matuidi and Motta said a few days ago they won't leave PSG next season.

Especially Matuidi who was angry about some medias making up stories about him.

VdW is not worth much, same for Lavezzi.

And PSG team is already considered as thin. PSG won't sell 6 players to buy only one, that would be suicidal.

This season is already a nightmare because PSG doesn't have enough players to rotate in all competitions. Blanc said it many times. Nasser same.

Right after Chelsea, PSG lost a league game because had to use the same players again because of injuries and thin bench.
