Looking forward to see how he'll do against Bayern. Not that I know much about their youth team but they will surely be a better test than YB.

I like the way he effectively uses his body, I DO NOT think he is Xavi-esque but he has been impressing, surely his continuity at club is assured

(SOMA): Barcelona can sign Pedro Soma permanently by executing the purchase option agreed with the Cornellà worth €800K plus bonuses for 80% of the player's ownership. Via: @MatteMoretto

Should really be a no-brainer. Even if he doesn't make it here (probably won't) we can sell him for profit.

For sure! It's easy to see he'll succeed as a footballer - probably even higher tier than average. No brainer indeed.

Struggled alot against Segoviana. Was eager to see how he would do against adult players as wanted to see his press resistance and how he performed when things were not going the teams way.

Still, good for development and the lad will have to work much harder to get another start at the B.

When you judge Albert Sanchez as a manager you have to look at a case like Pedro Soma.

Arrived last minute in the window and needed time to adjust. Got UYL starts and sub appearances at the B.

Had his first home start two games ago, it didn't go well. Was benched last week and came on as a sub.

This week back into the starting lineup and a much better performance.

Soma clearly isn't naturally inclined to play progressive passes so what does Sanchez do in the second half? Moves Soma further up the pitch and have him take on more forward progressions.

That's a summary of good, methodical coaching. And an idea of how Sanchez likes to take things slow and is thinking development first.

We have seen a similar progression with Darvich, and perhaps will be the same with Aziz.

This is my main worry about him. It makes the difference between being next Arthur or ElNeny, or being a first team starter in big clubs.

I'm more concerned about his press resistance at this stage. It's fine looking silky and technical when the game is going your way or everything is at comfortable pace, but being able to adjust and quicken your tempo and actions is an entirely different thing. Nico Gonzalez also had this issue and it seemed possibly Bernal too.

So these are two areas he will have to work hard on, and not coming through the LaMasia system makes a difference. Look at Frenkie and Casado.

But I think he can make the leap. Looks a smart lad and has already improved.

Also very good positionally, it's not the first time this season that one of his presses and turnovers led to a goal for us. Done similar versus Monaco.
