Don't know what to make of it. Is it a step up or step down from Mourinho? Madrid needed a change though and Perez picked the obvious candidate.

Definitely a step up, as Mourinho had lost the changing-room and a lot of players seemed unmotivated to play for him.

Ancelotti has been coaching for nearly 20 years and has won 3 leagues, they got him for his Champions League record because he is the only person around who has won a Champions League in the last twenty years which they haven't shitted on, sacked or has managed Barcelona.

Its a step down from Mourinho, of course we all hate him but he is a much better coach than Ancelotti in nearly every sense.

In Lucho we trust!
It is a step up from Mou. Carlo is exactly what we don't need. A calm, experienced manager who is an excellent man-manager. It will be an interesting season now.

I'd love to see Pep vs. Ancelotti, if Pep was still here. Both gentlemen. The mutual respect between them would be enormous

With Ancelotti at RM, reaching a league title will be much harder than in the previous few years. Time to step up.

not worried about Carlo doesn't bring anything new to the table though he is a very good coach, but then again we do have tito so it should be pretty balance

I think we all saw Barça struggle against his PSG side, which is an inferior team to rm. Ancelotti is a better coach than Tito, imo.
