Steady development curve, Pep nurtured him well, and now also PL player of the season. Wonderful player.

Weren't people 2-3 years ago complaining Pep is not playing him enough and stuff like that? Looks like Pep knew all the time what he was doing (not surprised ofc).

If he'd be here he would probably be a better player at 17 than 22.

Hyping up lads like him are why England think they have a better squad than everyone else, and should be winning tournaments with no issues.

Pep's system clearly makes him look better than he is. He will continue to do this - star for Man City, then struggle with England. And everyone will ask why, when it's obvious - Man City are a well-oiled machine.

He was good against The Netherlands and that's pretty much it. For all his ability, I don't think he's an intelligent footballer. He doesn't find tactical solutions that the coach doesn't find for him. You could easily see Palmer eclipse him at international level.

It won't be popular among Man City fans, but I think Palmer is a smarter player than him, and also has a little more ability.
