The price is set at 40m and Spurs are rumoured to also be in on that option. Won't get more than that for him.

Barca wont get anywhere near 40m for Coutinho at 30 and a year left on contract while clubs knowing Barca be desperate to sell.

Only chance of a respectable fee is him having a great lone stint at Villa, Coutinho being happy there and Villa wanting to sign him before risking competing with bigger clubs in the free agency pool.
Theres a WC in between next summer and Coutinho being a free agent the summer after, so you would assume that Coutinho would want his future tied up next summer and not returning to Barcelona and riding the bench again.
So there is a possibly, but a small window.

Getting anything would be great tbh, considering worst case is him playing bad and then getting him and his enormous salary back AGAIN.
Also just for his sake i hope he does well and can enjoy playing. Always liked him, but he was a bad fit and seems like mentality wasn't really there as well with the burden of the price tag. And at least he's trying instead of that bum Umtiti who get's celebrated for agreeing to be a little less expensive leech...
