i don't see him catching up TBH he seems to be out of form and won't be getting the service he is used too although some of your young players seems decent so yeah never know i hope our old boy does the business though
Forlan deserved it... he is playing in a way smaller team and he scored 31 goals (a lot from penalties). What if he was playing for Barca with best midfilders in the world he would have 40+.
If Forlan really gets it then he will have fully deserved it and there will be no need to be bitter. In terms of consistency Forlan has been leagues ahead of Eto'o. While Eto'o has managed to get for example a brace and then his 4 goal haul against Valladolid, he has then gone missing for a stretch of games. However, Forlan has been popping up every game and snatching wins for Atletico. A bonus obviously would be a destructive performance like last night's hat-trick. It's clear that Eto'o was only a threat when Barca were pushing hard for the points, and Pep fielded a full team. Eto'o had all the service in the world. But as soon as Pep has started pulling out players and resting in anticipation of Copa and CL games, Eto'o has disappeared.
