There are already too many pointless international matches, I guess if it replaces friendlies completely it's not the end of the world but at the same time would NT's treat this competition seriously or just think of it as glorified friendlies? The one good thing friendlies are for is an opportunity to test new players. If it was actually a serious competition, the star players would be even more tired/prone to injury & new or lesser used players would get less of a chance.
