Dude, big teams are often lazy and play in regards to opposition. The main reason Barca got used to playing a low pace since 2016 or so is because the league is like that, so they never got reasons to ditch players early as they kept winning leagues and cups. That and a dumb as a rock president not seeing the early signs of trouble.

But English teams have enormous problems playing vs technical possession teams. Barca and Madrid must have insane record vs english sides in the last 10-15 years.
