Sancho just isn't explosive enough to be able to get past players consistently like that. He thrives on combination play, one-twos to get space and take on players.

It's not only the absence of any tactical foundation,
but their squad as well is below par in key departments

Top 4 already seems gone for them now. Their best option is probably just to accept a midtable league finish and prioritize trying to win EL and qualify for CL that way.

They just got too many players who don’t work hard enough. Fernandes and Eriksen are two luxury players, likes of Sancho and Shaw aren’t hard workers and Ronaldo has always pressured less than most players as that’s not his game.

That’s already 5 players in a starting 11 that don’t cover enough ground. In summary, they are finished.

Any half sensible team that’s aggressive in the press will pick them apart.

Great goal from Koulibaly, and great cross from Cucu.

We had 2 FBs playing this game, and we let them go for cheap. Both Emerson and Cucu would be a huge improvement for what we currently have.
