Most popular maybe

Biggest definitely not lol.

And by every means that one can actually measure popularity it today's world.

Madrid and FC Barcelona are more popular.

At this point in history Man Utd popularity is more a unban myth that can never be verified.

"They have a bunch of fans in Asia"

Whatever you the fuck that means lol.

Doesn’t really address what I said. Another strawman. But no one surprised at this point.

And no, that’s not reason they are dropping this many points. Should be getting more out of this team. And if you don’t believe so just proves the bias.
Amorim and Ten Hag both seem clueless, and most of the team is terrible.

The idea that the players are better than they're showing is only because they play for Man United. They're poor to mediocre players who nobody would bat an eyelid at if they played for Ipswich.

Horatio. I have noticed you trying to claim Ten Hag was the scapegoat here, because they are still struggling. It's poor logic and grounded in bad faith.

Just because the team is still struggling doesn't mean Ten Hag would be doing better. It isn't either/or. Ten Hag wasn't good enough, the players aren't good enough, and Amorim way well not be either.

They'd be still struggling big time had Ten Hag stayed. This is akin to thinking injured players are brilliant when they are out and the team is still getting hammered.

I don't know anything about Amorim outside of a few CL games, so I won't judge him yet

It's a hard job having to fix the club, when the manager before you was so ass and bought so many shit players.

Take that into consideration on top of him playing a totally different system, he will need a few summers to turn things around.

But him losing so many games is acceptable,he needs to understand the players he has are both shit and not for his system and try something new to get results until the summer.

Nah.

I just can't put them in the same ballpark as RM, Barca, Bayern, Pool, Milan given the pedigree of all-timers who played for these clubs and European dominance. Each of these 5 had a dominant spell in Europe.

United are more Juve and Inter tier.
Size of the fanbase plays a major role in these conversations though........

United are the X Factor of football. Very popular but far fewer all-time greats and great football than all the clubs with a better history.

People forget Man City were the biggest club in Manchester until the 50s, and that only three managers in total have won United's 20 titles. Without Busby and Ferguson they are just reverting to type. The 90s fooled a lot of new fans into thining they'd always been a powerhouse.
