Fair play to them. They played very well for most of that second half. Brentford disappointed after going a goal in front.

Still too much time-wasting though by United.

Garnacho will live off that goal for the next 5 games.

Bad result for Arsenal. I do remain unconvinced about them.

Credit to Bournemouth, though.
Same, they will not get near a title for as long as Pep stays at City. They've been massively overpraised by the media in this country for winning nothing.

I may also have an agenda against the club for the unnecessary disrespect they put on Unai Emery Etxegoien's name.

Maybe you are a bit against them, but I tend to agree. I don't see them as being able to keep pace with City if and when City hit form.

Even last season. Everyone was predicting them to beat Bayern easily. I know that league form goes out the window in knockout ties, and that Bayern have the better players, so I predicted them to go through. That's another example of the overconfidence of Arsenal and their fans.

However, that is the London press for you.

3 games in which they dropped points this season (Brighton, City, Bournemouth) were all games where they played with 10 men, some with questionable reds

On the other hand, they won away at Spurs and Villa.

Don't write them off. They were already better last season than City, and City w/o Rodri this season are in for some trouble

I am not writing them off, though I don't thin they were better than City last season (regardless of what some stats said). Obviously they can win the league but City dominate English football.

I wouldn't call the red cards dubious - even if they were, they are a dirty team that partake in the dark arts so always risk that. They've arguably got away with reds in other places so you have to look at it both ways.

They weren't convincing at Villa - Watkins missed an amazing double chance and another chance at 0-0. Spurs fair enough. Against City they admitted their inferiority by sitting back the entire second half a man down. I just do not think Arsenal have been performing well this season.

City are worse now than in the past though, so you're right that Arsenal have more room to make the title than Liverpool did when City were at their absolute peak.

Certainly not writing Arsenal off at all - they're one of two or three who can win the title. But I do remain unconvinced that they have an expansive enough style of football or good enough mentality to actually do it and win a top prize.

Gave you a like anyway as they are still a very good team and you are a good poster. I just question whether they can ACTUALLY win the PL. Theoretically they can but in practice it's a big ask given their weak mentality over the last two decades as a club.
