only against weak teams but if u r happy i m happySo what if he cannot defend as a full back? How does that make us not rate him? He is a left winger who scores and assists regularly or at least is involved in a lot of our plays, he gets stuck in and he disturbs a lot of the opponents flow. Surely he lacks a lot but for someone his age and inexperience he is one of the brightest upcoming talents and I am proud to have him on.
Just look at how we cleared our bench from Brazilians yet he remained calm and in fact did not care except to prove himself and integrate. He is such a good vibe to have on the field and the players around him feed off his energy.
So what? You played him there for several games, he is #1 replacement if Arbeloa is injured. Opponents do not only have enough time to drink a coffee, they can even plant their owns coffee plants on that part of the Bernabeu pitch cause Marcelo won't be there to trample them down anyway. So what if he cannot defend as a full back? I really think Marcelo is first choice, raed. No, half way through last season Marcelo was being moved to play as a left winger, in fact he has played there in his first season too. If he is our first choice after Arbeloa then that is the management's problem for not covering that spot well and just thinking about it, Drenthe took that position ahead of Marcelo.
I do not think he is just another Brazilian kid with some fancy game play because first of all, he strikes me as an industrial player first and he has the ability to beat 2 or three players on the dribble, showcased some beautiful passes (although not regularly) and happens to provide options almost every time for player makers. He is not a dumb player like Benzima, in fact he is smart, someone who endures a lot of pressure (unlike Brazilian kids) and has shown enormous amount of stamina. He is very good at shooting in both feet, very determined, and was never guilty of slacking off (unlike Brazilian kids). Maybe he is off form sometimes, but he is the first player to combine defensive and offensive duties for Madrid in a long, long time.
Yep that's him .. do u have a nick name for him ? i feel all the shag-miss-key of mine will backfire in my face something like Zoo-dis-key , zoolander ..etc
Well it's presidents , presidents are not Barcelona or Real they are men who run the clubs at given moments . the clubs are bigger than individuals
anyhow Perez honored those who stayed in the club for 10 years or more = the three captains Raul, Guti & Iker .
Also Benzema will be given another try tomorrow vs Almeria which means Real will play a regular 4-4-2 with CR & Marcelo on the sides and Higuain /Benzema in the center
