tricky, very tricky. there is not much time left to sign a striker and a defender. maybe they wasted too much time trying for maicon. we'll see.

any suggestions as to who these two players could be in the end?

my striker guess is negredo or fernando llorente (i posted an alledged interest from real the other day). as for the defender, i have no idea. assuming of course, maicon & thiago silva are finally, definitly staying at their respective clubs.

Sorry he didn't say that. He said that he couldn't go through 10 months with only CRGay and Higgie as the only strikers and that is why Bezema is an important player for Real. He is trying to boost the lad's confidence.

I think you have enough strikers in Benzema, Higuain, and CR (+ strikers from the youth team). CR will probably start on the wing but if Mourinho found himself in a position where he needs to rotate Im sure he can play CR as a striker and Pedro Leon/Di Maria/Marcelo/Drenthe on the wings. (ps I doubt Mourinho will play 4-4-2, Im talking as if you will play with a lone striker)

anyway, if mourinho does want another striker then the writing is on the wall for benzema or higuain IMO (or he wants to play higuain somewhere else). mourinho's edict is always 2 players for every position and he's not gonna go and sign a third choice striker. trust me, either benzy is being sold or higuain will play somewhere else.
