No no, he is a reformed charater, it is a World Cup year after all. Maybe next season if he returns to the regular all night samba parties.

I actually thought they might want Huntelaar who is available for loan for the rest of the season.

He looked like a plausible solution for our left wing and even Pep mentioned his name few weeks ago. Things change quickly in football.

Who thought he was a plausible solution? He would have been an absolute disaster, thank God Pep and the captains said no to the move.

He had the potential but his personality as a footballer is crap and believed his own hype..
Robinho believed his manager and made the wrong career move now it's too late for him .
A CR trade and he would have flourished in United under SAF but he was too dumb and now heading back to Santos 5 years earlier than expected

exactly.

he's a great talent, magnificent even, but he's been very poorly advised.

a move to united under saf or even to chelsea under felipao and he'd have continued his amazing 07/08 form. but he made the stupidest of career moves (tbh he was probably lied to by the city owners, you'll be the first of many big names, etc.) and then hughes spent the next two years bringing in his mates, and then getting rid of them and alienating him.

and given his personality, he's not handled that well and just gotten worse and worse.

He wasn't lied to.

It's not like we haven't tried to bring in world class stars and it's not like they won't try in future.

His legs are like twigs, he hasn't got the power in them to score unless it's about 5 yards from goal.

I think he didn't expect to spent 2 years without stars signing , that's the difference and Meta is right in it .
He thought other stars will follow .. the biggest star was Tevez if u call him a star still even with the lavish spending Citeh remains a small team with a small team mentality (u remember our club culture talk )
at the end he spent 2 years winning nothing , improving his profile was zero and your team still has no guaranteed future , in fact he had more fame and looked a lot better with Real than @ Citeh
Robinho is back looking for his no 1 , he want to play the WC and than you will see that lovely "Transfer request " in your faces

Yes, but they tried to sign Kaka in the first window after he was signed, which shows they didn't lie to him when they promised to try and get in world class players.

No doubt those plans have been put on hold, partly due to Hughes saying he only wants players with PL experience and partly due to knowing that if we get into the top four everything will become a lot easier.

How has he gone 2 years without winning anything? We are in the semi finals of the Carling Cup and have it all to play for in the FA Cup too.

Oh and Tevez would get into a lot of the top teams in Europe.

I think the kaka transfer was such a wake-up call for robinho. because yeah, city did try, and credit to ya there, but you just got knocked back. your offer was astronomical and the player told you to go do one. I think it dawned on robinho that no one of his stature and skill wants to come play for manchester city. his form dipped after that.

but even then I think he had sorta adjusted to the big fish small pond thing. but THEN sparky got rid of his mates and started playing some seriously dour football.

well, you're right that it's only been a year and a half and he has a chance to do a domestic cup double, but he's not exactly involved in these games is he?

squads? yes. but he wants to be in the First XI. so...

barca: no
real: no
inter: no
milan: maybe
united: no
chelsea: no
bayern: no
porto: yes

off the top level...

valencia: no
sevilla: maybe
juve: yes
liverpool: not up-front
arsenal: yes
wolfsburg: maybe

so... basically... not really.
