somehow i doubt he will be frozen out of the squad,he'll be forced into squad just as coutinho, dembele and greaseman in order to present them as useful players instead of flops

Aye Griezmann who got 30+ goals assists last season and was best player in only trophy won is useless.

Griezmann is probably Barcas best attacking player now in reality. Possibly Depay.

Big game to turn it around in cup then class performance in league.

Who should they come against and when?

When you pay 120m for a player, and he's the highest paid player on your team, you want more than them mostly scoring against bottom-half teams, which any good striker can do with the quality of Barcelona's offense. A brace against Ibiza is all well and good but it doesn't move the needle. We don't pay him this much money to perform in the Copa del Rey. We pay it for him to score against top-quality opponents in the CL and LaLiga, which he hasn't really done in his 2 years here.

Nope argument is not about the money.

The argument about is what did on pitch.

Same circular argument every time... made up claim 'Griezmann did nothing'. Shown not to be the case... 'well he cost 120m'.

He was not highest paid player on team.

Should Barca expect Messi to score/assist v top two in league if paid 100m a season? Where does that argument end?

Granada were top half team... and scored/assisted probably more v top half teams anyway. Would need to check.

That's fine, whilst we are in financial ruin you can be fine with bum-crushers on massive wages doing what literally any good striker could do, but in my opinion the 600k a week is not worth the goals at mid table teams. Against top4 LaLiga tms and Champions League knockouts = 1 goal in 16 games

Again you go down the route of money when not the argument.

Last season he scored 30+ goals/assists and was Barcas best player in only trophy won. Wasnt useless.

Keep changing the argument each step though.

Yep because when you are in financial ruin you totally don't consider the cost benefit and investment you make on a player. ANYHOW, please note the 1 goal in 16 games against top4 LaLiga teams and in CL knockouts and tell me if he had an impact where it mattered. We are becoming such a small club that we venerate our players for playing good in the copa del rey.

IT IS OK to want a player out for financial reasons. Currently you are arguing that financial loss is irrelevant to judging whether players should stay whilst we are in billions of debt. Bartomeu may have been bad, if they had you running the club saying 'wages don't matter' we would be dissolved by now.

That's the nuance of the argument. That he is not good enough to justify the wages that he is on. If he was paid 10k a week and we were able to register our new signings and Messi because of it I would happily agree with you as he is contributing whilst not causing our financial peril. But yes, wages don't matter, as long as they score against bottom-half teams it's fine. No wonder all our socios fell for Barto if the fanbase is like this.

Willing to bet that Memphis will score more goals than Griezmann (when he stays injury-free and can be registered).

Beşiktaş are interested in taking Umtiti on loan and would be willing to pay a large portion of his wage. Nice and Monaco are interested as well. Umtiti knows he will not get much playing time at Barca. [sport]

Good news.

Can't blame Griezmann for Barca's stupidity (I mean who wouldn't accept an abnormal raise in salary, I know I would). However, if the argument is about Griezmann's performance, then he was one of our best performers last season, it's unfortunate that we had bad financial management but we can't blame it on the players.
