The only thing he can do when being pressed these days is to pass the ball back to the defenders, and often he looks very shaky when being pressed and ends up losing the ball. And he offers absolutely zero offensively. What is going on with him?

When was the last time he had a stellar game? Personally I don't remember.

I think it was before his son was born. Enzo's fault. That and a bit of complacency sometimes. He has no competition, that's never a good thing.

Copa del Rey final against Sevilla. So in pretty much the last important match that he played for us.

This.

I'm astounded over how a very bad pre-season consisting of two games can cloud people's judgement so badly.

Well, those same two or three games have been enough to pass judgement on most players if you look at every thread, it's either a god or a scrub, no in betweens...

I think he was taking last season into account too, and Busi wasn't at his best in the final stretch of the season, but I believe it was due to fatigue. From being overplayed and having a newborn.

I'm surprised that you're surprised.

This forum always turns into an absolute shithole after a bad game. Players are getting bashed left and right, the whole team is being questioned and torn apart and logic is being thrown overboard.

Don't worry though, in a few weeks everyone will be praising him as the best DM in the world again. Ridiculous.

And that's really stupid. Need some context behind it too. Like Camara. He's not a LB at all and even as a LW he can be a bit selfish at times. No wonder he was bad at a position he barely played in and got a playing style that put him under further trouble.

Our starters were overplayed. Fatigue is a very valid reason. He need to be rested efficiently this upcoming season. When we're leading comfortably we can easily slot in Roberto or even Mascherano in the position. Happened so many times, but he keep playing 90 minutes.

Just for the record, I was agreeing with you, but as instinct said, this is the barcaforum way, hahaha...

Honestly I don't recall his performance at the CdR final, maybe it is because of my age. But it is true that personally I thought he had been poor for us for quite some time, not just these TWO games in the pre-season.

I agree that players shouldn't be judged on one or two games, but on Busquets for me it is more than that. Sure, different people see things differently. There are those who are always optimistic and see very little signs of problems and there are those who always see problems. Both want the best for our club. In the end one group might be proven wrong and the other group proven right. I just hope the two groups of people get along without one ridiculing the other.
