Last year,I didn't even know Busqeuts was playing for Barca and now he plays both in Spanish national team..

Are u joking?Busquetes is having now an excellent tornament,probably the best defensive midfielder in the tournament,I am very sad because everyone gives Busquetes the credit he deserves except Barca fans.Pressure?what Pressure?he played the CL final very well,he was one of the best spanish players at the WC and for me he is better than 100 Yaya.

when he came in the late 08/09 season, he was still a young unpolished talent so the expectation level was different than being a full 1st team member.

and if you look back, ive always praised busi in this WC.

I think he's been one of Spain's best players at the WC. Whereas many other have had a mixed bag of performances, he's been superb all the way through, quietly going about his business. People talked as if he wasn't going to fill Senna's shoes, but he's proved them wrong. Best form ever IMO. Mopping up, tackling, keeping the play moving. If only Alonso could play as well as Busi has.

Sorry but if you ask any manager in the world to choose Yaya or Busquetes,90% percent will choose Busquetes,but remmember Managers not fans because the majority of fans understands nothing about football,BTW if you watched only Busquetes during the last match you will really understand that he is better than Yaya,His positional awareness is extraordinary ,Tidy and neat complete passes,he completes more than passes than everone else on the pitch,plz dont tell me that his passes are only short to Xavi and Iniesta because thats his job,watch the complete pass rate of Yaya,Mascherano and other players and you will know what I mean,HE also does the dirty way in a very smart way,not a dirty because he always positions himself in a way that enables him to predict the ball,he is probably one of the best players who read the ball very well,what you need also from a defensive Midfielder.

Uff..haven't been in this topic for ages. I'm really glad to see busi playing such an important part for spain. He was the stand out player for me when Pep first came in and introduced him throughout preseason. He showed good composure and only made mistakes that an inexperienced player makes, not those of a poor footballer. He also has a very nice touch on the ball, and I've often compared him to Deco with the way he moves the ball around by his feet. His passing is good, but not great. But he doesn't need to be great for now.

I read someone's post a few weeks ago that was saying how poor he was and that getting rid of yayá is the worst thing. I do think that they could co-exist in the same team, and I would have rather not let yayá go (obviously his agent played a massive part in it), but busquets is a very good player and you can't let a few mistakes take that away from him. I am glad that Pep has shown so much faith in him.

Ah I remember now...someone said that we don't win because of Busquets, we win in spite of him. And he was compared to oleguer. It was an insult.

Ok,since the start of the WC,Noone talked about Busquetes in a bad way,but before the WC and especially before Yaya's leaving,everyone was moaning about Yaya's less playing time,every time Yaya completes a pass,ppl say oh,what a player,when Busqutes had a super match,everyone says,I didnt see him,did u watch his fault at the match,sorry but
Barca fans loved Yaya so much(I do also) but if you look overall at Busquetes's season and his WC,You will find that he had en excellent season,how many times did you hear about someone saying Busquetes had a great season?1,2 sorry but Busquetes is the most underrated footballer in the world,especially from Cules(Marca had him in the strongest 11 in the WC so far)

Dont know,BTW Yaya played vs CHelsea as a Cb,I will go for saying that Busquetes is better than Yaya as a DMF,but thats because Yaya is not a DMF,he is a CMF and the last match in La Liga proves this.

At the Camp Nou yayá played as a DM and was a beast. At Stamford Bridge he played as a CB. And in the final too. And in the Copa del Rey final too. But at the Camp Nou he most definitely played as a DM.

Yayá played as CM for monaco and for ivory coast, but for fcb he played as a DM. It wasn't until he was partnered with busquets in midfield when he started to act more as a CM.
