No they didnt.
How poorly Barca dealt with those injuries played a major part also.
Busi was horrendous in CL.
Xavi chose to play Busi as a sole DM on front of Pique and Garcia with Balde etc on the bench and Roberto RB and Alonso LB.
That is horrendous.

Agree that Xavi dealt with the injuries terribly.
It just sucks that injuries led to those decisions.

Inter had injuries also and Bayern away Barca had Kounde/Araujo at time Bayern were in poor form and still lost 2-0 with some poor defending... Busi was up jogging towards CBs for some bizarre reason.

Honestly it was his best game in a very long time, but still managed to misplace passes left, right and center. Real didn't take advantage of those silly giveaways and didn't press at all, which are all good and well, but won't be the norm. Real had a nightmare tactical performance.
