But Eric Garcia will play there too, who can develop into a really good pivot

Garcia wont play much as pivot.

Most likely they try to sell him in summer and if stays will be back up CB that can occassionaly cover at DM in emergency.

Better range of passing than anyone else to play there but takes more than that.

There's the option of Frenkie-Pedri double pivot with someone creative Infront (think Wirtz) or even Gundagon-Frenkie with Pedri in front.

Not the end of the world with a little structural change.

Hot prospect isn't a guarantee anyways, and should have been done while Busi still here.

Madrid signed Camavinga and Tchou. Both took/taking over a season to adapt and neither complained about not starting ahead of the old men.

We should have had a replacement busquets yeaaarrrrssss ago not just last summer, but you know who didn't believe in succession planning.

Anyways if he leaves he'll be missed, but the team will just have to adapt to a different way of playing.

We have been playing by far the best when Busi was paired with De Jong and not alone as a single pivot in the 4-3-3.
The defense when we played 4-3-3 with him as pivot was diabolical.
They have formed a pretty nice partnership, so shame to break that up, but he won't be impossible to replace by all means in this new system.

We will miss Busquets if we try to play as if Busquets is still there.

Eric Garcia will be playing for Girona within two years. He's got a lot of Busquets's weaknesses without any of his strengths lol.
