Foolish medical staff perhaps. I think 6 months is possible to return but the risk is of relapse is a lot higher compared to how Gavi is eased into it.Tf is going on in Atalanta lol
Scamacca tore his ACL 3 months ago and is now back in individual training. Scalvini also came back after like 5 months, tore his ACL too.
Elite medical staff probably, don't know what else it could be.

Yeah we will see, could turn out to be both foolish and smart at the end. Depends on how the players develop after recoveries. Interestingly, they don't really have to rush Scamacca. They have a proper striker in Retegui who is right now among the best strikers in Serie A. So I doubt they would risk anything big because they don't have to, they most likely know what they're doing and I think it will turn out good.Foolish medical staff perhaps. Also read something about stem cells. It's something ter Stegen is using which might speed up his recovery. His aim is to return in April which would be 7 months recovery.
Apparently both had surgeries.Could be several things.
Maybe it's just a partial tear to the ACL, and so naturally recovery would be much quicker and no surgery would be needed.
Stem cells as Andresito mentioned, could be a factor. Tho I've meostly heard about with Tendon related issues so far.
Does the story say anything about wether they got surgery or not?
It is possible for the ACL to heal without surgery, and big advances has been made the last 4 years regarding treatment without surgery. Some protocols including braces for a 12 week period that improves the conditions for the ACL to heal. In studies from Australia 80% of participants had a Grade 1 heal of their ACL without surgery.
So yeah maybe they decided to not operate, and just focus on building strength around the knee.
