Muniain finally shows some sign of life. What a dismal season he has had for Bilbao.

Agreed. Hopefully the situation at Bilbao improves with the exit of Bielsa. He was an amazing prospect last season and I hope he finds his form next season and continues to be a great prospect for Athletic and Spain.

Thiago-Easily MOTM by far, no question.

Montoya-solid as always, sarabia and tello never looked to pass to him when he was overlapping though so he wasn't displayed in attack

Deulofeu-Meh, not too involved but got an assist so his performance was alright overall

Muniain-Played very well when he came on and looked really lively and fluid with the rest of the team

Tello-looked like an idiot out there, completely isolated half the time and got shut down with complete ease

Canales-played pretty well IMO

Bartra-alright, wasn't tested too much

Muniesa-Didn't play long enough for me to formulate an opinion

Monreal had an extremely good performance against France with him and Jordi Alba Spain have nothing to worry about at LB.

Yes, should've had two assists. Started out shakily and got beaten by Valbuena once, but apart from that very solid.

Valdes incredible, Villa lost and Xavi once again played out of position. Great substitute appearance from Navas.

And coincidentally the curse of right back seems to be ending soon as well. When Arbeloa's time comes to an end there is not one but several VERY talented right backs who can take his place.

-Azpilicueta is the oldest option but I still maintain that he is suspect in defense and more of a RWB which doesn't pair up well with Alba. He is very strong in attack though and can provide an extra dimension should they ever need it.

-Montoya, Mallo, and Carvajal are all of the same age and VERY talented in their own ways. Out of the 3, I'd have to say Carvajal is the best and a spot on the NT is very likely for him if he moves back to Madrid anytime soon. Mallo was better but I feel as if this long term injury is going to stunt his development.

-Manquillo is the youngest option at 18 and overall I'd say he combines both amazing potential bombing forward in attack as well as being disciplined and really solid in defense. Out of all 5 options, he has the most potential in my opinion as he is absolutely amazing all around and is efficient and fluid with the ball, like Filipe Luis. Although if any of the others secure an NT spot before him it will be horrible luck because he is definitely an amazing option. If he establishes himself with Atletico while they make their rise in European football,

Valdes was MOTM for me. He played incredible, I'm the first to criticize his play so I'll definitely give it up to him when he plays exceptional.

Monreal did play extremely well. I've always said he was quality and quietly slept-on w/ Malaga. I haven't watched him much since his move to Arsenal but all the Gooners I have spoke to love him.

Pedro continues to put in work for La Roja. Would love for him to carry that scoring touch over to Barcelona for the remainder of the season. His work-rate is incredible.
