Sylvinho or Abidal?

Both are known for there qualities. Powered with sport spirit and full of consistence. This season which one of them has amazed you and would be better in the Starting Line Up.

Abidal definitely, he is much better in defense, and because we have very very offensive right back we need defensive LB.

Abidal. Sylvinho deserves every praise, particularly for maintaining his fitness level in his late footballing years, and even more for never complaining for sitting on the bench for all these years in Barcelona. He`s a good role model for our youngsters.

Spot on. Sylvinho has one of the best characters in the squad and it´s players like him that keep a good team spirit, he has always been hardworking and acts as a role model to the younger players, and like Bojan pointed out he is very patient with the amount of playing time he´s been given unlike some other players. But I believe Abidal is the better option for our line-up, for a simple reason that we can't have two fullbacks pushing forward as it leaves us too exposed, Abidal is the correct balance for our backline.

Abidal every day and twice on sundays. Abidal, just like most of our other players, is key to our formation. His defensive duties allow alves to attack without having to think too much about tracking back. Abi isnt the best marker, but give him a defender to chase and he will hunt him down like a cheetah and win the ball from him. He is a real athlete. He got alot of flack last season unfairly. The whole team was poor but for some reason he was one of the few players singled out for criticism.

Sylvinho has been a credit to full backs everywhere! In fact, a credit to players full stop. Never moaned..always just got in with whatever job he was asked to do. Even when gio was here i preferred sylvi. Always thought he was the better fullback. Gio was a bit of a "jack of all trades master of none". Whereas sylvi is like "i cant defend..so imma attack twice as much". What a guy!

But when it comes to tactics, abidal every time.

Definitely. He is awful going forward though. He must be the worst crosser of the ball that ive ever seen. Thats why its so great to have sylvinho because if a team is sitting back and packing the midfield we can play a long ball to henry, sylvinho will be on the overlap and he will put in a great cross. It will be a shame when sylvinho leaves or hangs up his boots.

abidal for top clubs in la liga and in CL but sylvinho for all those matches where the teams just doesnt want to come out of their ownhalf. we have that extra thing in sylvinho.

Yes, Abidal, but Sylvinho is great all around. Each year, despite his age, he gets better and better. I hope when he retires he comes to the MLS. Maybe I'll start watching then.
