Toni Kroos

Its all just rumors, as it stand. But i have to wonder why Pep would be willing to sell Kroos, if the rumors are true. Kroos is supposedly the closest you get to a new Xavi, or one of very few, and Pep wants Bayern to play Titi taka?

He has Thiago, who is already a better/more decisive player than Kroos, albeit much more injury prone, it seems.

Pep doesn't have the power to convince Bayern to pay Kroos as much as Schweinsteiger or Mueller. The last time he had to deal with something like that was when Dani was renewing his contract and the club has had to find him some sponsors to satisfy the player's demands. It looks like atleast in that regard our board was better.

If Schweinsteiger and Thiago manage to stay fit and PEH continues to develops like he did until now, you probably won't miss Kroos. But that it's a big if.

Yes, now even TZ reported that Bayern withdrew the offer. Looks like a done deal.

They also write that there's no agreement between the two clubs yet. Let's hope Bayern milk as much as possible out of this. That said, I wouldn't have thought they'd sell him before the rumours heated up at all, so I'm still surprised.

Thiago is a better player than kroos? What has thiago done to justify that? Kroos played a key role for bayern in their treble winning year at the same age thiago is now, what exactly has thiago done that can even compare to that? Bugger all. Annoys me how people underrate kroos. He is a mainstay in one of the best teams and has won a ridiculous amount already for his age. He is leaving due to politics and i feel pep is making a huge mistake here.

This isnt really Pep's call the club dont want to pay him the salary he desire and he wants to leave really nothing to it. Very similar to the Ballack situation.

I thought one of the prime reasons he left Barcelona in the first place was because he wasnt given the full power to rebuild a new team? So it looks like he has even less power in Bayern, thats funny.

What you said about Thiago can very well be said about Kroos and his demands. What has he done to justify asking to earn as much as Lahm, Neuer, Robben, Ribery, Mueller or Schweinsteiger? And precisely what is the mistake that Pep makes? Not giving him the money he wants?

He definitely has less power at Bayern just because thats how the club is run and has been run. Im not saying he has no power cause even Jupp was the main reason Bayern signed Martinez but the board do make the last call in the end just like when they called of the Neymar pursuit for Gotze. Its not Pep's job to decide whether Kroos is given the money he wants, he himself said that he would love Kroos to stay but understands these things are part of the game.

Kroos wasn't demanding to earn as much as ribery etc he found it unfair how thiago and gotze can come in straight away and earn alot more than him without actually contributing anything like he has? Which is fair don't you think? If pep really wanted kroos he could of got him to stay, he has pushed him out by making him feel not valued.

Actually he did..and Iniesta had to deal with Neymar earning more than him until he negotiated a bigger contract. Kroos could have done the same if he really wanted to stay.

If pep really wanted kroos he could of got him to stay, he has pushed him out by making him feel not valued.

And how did Pep made him feel undervalued? By playing him in every single big game and benching Goetze? That is unless you prove to me that Pep is the one deciding how much a player earns. If there is one player that should feel bad after this season, that player is Javi, not Kroos(and by the way, Javi did a lot more for Bayern's CL winning campaign than Kroos, so instead of him asking if he shouldn't be earning more than Goetze, maybe he should be asking himself if he really deserves a salary bigger than Javi's). I can't imagine what I would read about Pep if his actions would have made Kroos have a clause of 18M euros.

In case you speak German, which I presume you do not, I could offer an article which explains perfectly everything surrounding the player Kroos and how he is valued.
This is also why I wrote "/more decisive". Also Thiago is much more difficult to contain due to his superior technical abilities (which isn't meant to say Kroos is bad in that regard, just more conventional).

Kroos was in the squad but he wasn't instrumental by any means. Ribéry, Robben, Schweini, Martinez, those were instrumental (among others). Not Kroos. In my opinion Thiago is already better than him. Kroos is really overrated on this forum, god knows why.

Wow Isco Illara Xabi Modric Kroos Di Maria Khedira and Kroos, have to say their midfield is perfect. I don't know how barca are going to compete them in midfield without xavi. Real is far more balanced team than us. If we don't buy a decent defender i don't see us winning against Real Madrid.

How on earth is it perfect? Their midfield was overrun in many Liga games last season because it was too weak. Maybe for people who don't watch them regularly it is.

Most RM fans want Khedira out because of his inferior technical abilities, Xabi is past it, Di Maria is not a proper midfielder and will be sold it seems, Illara was below expectations this season after joining for 40m and Kroos is overrated and imo too lethargic for RM style of play (even Bayern fans complained at the beginning of 12/13 season about this and some wanted him replaced with Shaqiri). Only Modric is beyond any doubt.
