UEFA Champions League 2014-15

I don't think Schalke are being praised enough for that performance. Maybe because they have an unfairly criticized manager like Di Matteo coaching them or because Schalke aren't really a prestigious/popular club. Imagine the praise a manager like Klopp, Rodgers or Simeone would be receiving if their teams played like that.

They went to the Bernabeu with a team the average of 22 and thoroughly outplayed Madrid in every facet of the game. A bogus offside call and Matip's ridiculous lapses in concentration ended up costing them advancement. Imagine if Platte and Huntelaar's shots didn't hit the damn crossbar.

That was one of the best team games I've seen in the CL for a long long time. There was zero luck involved in that showing. They played from the back with amazing composure, the movement off the ball in particular was terrific...Kroos could not handle Meyer in between the lines whatsoever and Huntelaar was heroic yesterday. Classic example of "leading from the front".

Ancelotti is one lucky son of a bitch. Thought he used up all of his luck in that 2-0 battering they took away to Dortmund where Mkhitaryan missed all those sitters.

Which game is everyone going to watch today?

I was thinking of watching Bayern to see what Pep has done with them but I'll probably just end up watching Chelsea - PSG to cheer on PSG.

Prob watch Chelski v PSG or if I can somehow get pip working then it'll be both.

Want PSG to win just to see Chelsea go out for the "lulz", as you know being in England is... fantastic.

Bayern... hmmm an upset would be tasty but Pep + the interests of the CL, Bayern through.

:rofl1:

I'm gutted Schalke didn't go through, awesome they got the win, they deserved it (got to be careful with that word =X ) and because of that performance alone deserved to have gone through. Yeah yeah they lost at home but that was so good last night you can excuse the 2-0 reverse fixture. Unfortunate that they didn't get the 1 goal they needed. Clear the majority here would have loved to see Schalke get that goal, all cheering them on. Even a neutral would have been cheering Schalke on no doubt about that.

Mou with his classic minds game I see. Saying he expected more from PSG and he expected them to play more football and be less aggressive.

The old goad them into playing how you want them to play technique :mou:

I'm hoping for Bayern and Chelsea to go out today, don't think it will happen but one can hope.
Will be watching Chelsea vs Psg, might switch to Bayern later if the scoreline gets interesting.

All the same here. PSG need to score early then Chelsea needs to attack and the game will become interesting.

Douglas Costa and Co. are gonna bring it tonight, Pep needs Robben on song. I'm rooting for the Ukrainians however I will probably be watching Che-PSG, again hoping for an away win. Ibrah is poised to break his duck against a Mourinho side for once.

Can't see PSG going through. When it comes to defending a 1-1 result over 90 minutes, better call Mou.

A 30 yard screamer from Ibra in the 15th minute could make the game interesting though..

But that would require Zlatan to perform in a big game, which goes against his ethos. If only it were a friendly; he may actually score a hat trick.

I predict Chelsea to win 1-0 with some ridiculous goal like Matic scoring 40 metre deflected shot
