They face Aston Villa next, enough said. No reason at all to rest players here.

Going your strongest eleven and playing with intensity against a good Dortmund team reduces their chances of winning even against Villa. It also increases the chances of injury etc.

They want out the Europa and wont take risks in it.

Spurs have done the right thing.

They are title-contenders, and they are afraid of....Aston Villa?

Yea, laying over is a good way to install a winning mentality into your club. If they cannot handle the rigor of the Europa, then they'll crash in the UCL next season.

No one at Spurs will think this is anything other than their largely second string being beaten by a very good Dortmund side.

Need to get over the fact they treat this competition as secondary to league.

Dortmund are the 4th best team in the world imo.

Barca, Bayern, Real, BVB.

Have so much quality and the way they play is so difficult to play against.

No they are not afraid of Villa but they are prioritising the league and have done all season.

They will be happy enough to be out of Europa to have full focus on league.

This was always happening and did same all way through the competition.

By the way, going out early in Europa(intended or not), has never helped Arsenal in winning the title either.

You are forgetting a few teams in there. I dont know how BVB ranks, but Atletico, Juventus and PSG are all comfortably better than Real Madrid these days.
