Value For Money Hotels in Barcelona

Hi, I shall be visiting Barcelona twice next year, In April to watch Barcelona vs Valencia, and in May to watch Formula 1 in Circuit Catalunya.

I've only been to Barcelona twice and I need some help. Could you kindly suggest some good value for money hotels please, I wont stay long in the hotel, just to sleep and maybe take breakfast. I need a hotel close to the center for the Barcelona Match (than I ll use the metro) and another hotel near the formula 1 track.
