You should probably get falcao, a classic poacher and someone like ashley young, he'd cost what $15m? Not enough strikers of the ball and too much players who try to pass the ball in the net. Also your spine is based on permacrock players like persie,fabregas,vermalean,etc. You should probably sell them and get some fit ones in.

Vermaelen's not a perma crock,just had a nasty achilles injury. He's been fine before then...Fabregas is already going and Van Persie is our best player, selling him would be dumb. We just need to get another striker who can come in for him when he's injured. Falcao's staying at Porto, Young's going to Man U. No idea who'll we get this summer tbh.

Back to RvP though...

I thank fuck there's no emerging Gerrard's to shit all over Wilshere (I also thank fuck that Barça are showing everyone the best way to play is to play, which encourages the likes of Wilshere).

the thing is, he's a magnificent target man so could be a great success for England, but the best attacking players (for England) are Rooney and Cashley. and they both play it on the deck. Young is probably next (for consistency of delivery) and while he can whip it in the air he also plays a lot of low stuff. and then when you have Jackie Boy emerging in the middle and Biggie Smalling emerging at the back. I mean you have the makings of a very good team there.

the thing is, until Wenger moves Walcott centrally, the future will always be Carroll because he's the best young English striker right now. Theo needs to move to the middle and start outscoring Carroll so the England manager is forced to pick him there. you want whoever compliments Rooney best, and that ain't gonna be Big Andy.

Well you can't blame anyone for believing the quote. I've seen most of RVP's matches with Arsenal and have to live with him in the Dutch national team and this is exactly what he would say. It fits his character so well that it's hard to believe he didn't say it, wouldn't be the first person to back peddle a controversial interview. Very immature personality when things do not go his way.

I think you'll find Sven Goran Erikkson ruined Scholes international career. But hey ho whatever floats your boat. Me personally I believed a Scholes-Gerrard partnership would have been epic for england, with a DM behind them, but it's england so i don't really give a shit. The camera kissing was awesome :D Twice at Old Toilet he did. Fantastic. He may be a DJ assaulting cunt according to you, but Scholes was a dirty fuck on the pitch just as much as gerrard is/was.

You thank fuck there is no future Gerrard to shit all over Wilshere. Well if there was another Gerrard in the future then, with the right guidance and the right manager, he'd be an excellent asset rather than hinderance to the likes of Wilshere. But hey players of Gerrard's class in england don't grow on trees.

but seriously, you would not have found a bigger begrudging Gerrard fan around the turn of the century. he was a fucking phenom. but his career was ruined by Liverpool being shit & Foolier let him just do whatever he wanted to, rather than coaching him to be a properly dominant CM he was on course to be.
