As others have explained, fans and kids are stupid.

Just give them vanilla populistic speeches and they will buy it.

Imagine if you and me want to be Barca's presidents, just say this shit and people will love you.

A list of my lies to deceive voters:
1. We need to go back to our roots, Barca's type of football
2. We need to rebuild La Masia and build a team around our kids
3. We need to lower our wages
4. We need to spend less on transfers
5. We need to be smarter with transfers
6. We need to turn the page and let go some of the current legends
7. We need to restructure our sporting project with people with knowledge, passion and fresh ideas
8. We need to hire more former players into our new winning project
9. We need to restructure our finances
10. We will find new ways to make more income
11. We have new ways of earning more money through better sponsor deals
12. We have new ways to earn more from internet and future marketing/social media
13. We will use science and stats in the future to improve a preparation of our players
14. We will put more emphasis on a physical preparation
15. We will work more with psychology, to get players with better mental strength in key moments
16. We will create a better medical team
17. We will follow the latest advances about food
18. We will build a better scouting network all around the world
19. We have connections with 2 clubs and we will send our youngsters on loan to these clubs to get more experience
20. We will bring you back a good old Barca, the reason why you started to love football and this club.
We will be more than a club again.
Visca Barca!!

It sounds awesome, isn't?

Naive rookie teen kids from social media would think that I am the best thing since the sliced bread.

Yet, I have just rambled about 20-ish things which sound good.

People are dumb and naive.
Give them hope and what they want to hear and they are yours.

When is the next Barcaforum Presidential Election? Someone is warming up here

Unfortunately for Font, Messi can sign a pre-contract with any club he chooses to in January, so he has no say on the matter.

I wish he shut the hell up about Messi being the future of the club. Messi is 34 next year! We need to start looking beyond Messi and focus on younger stars to rebuild from. I'm afraid this guy is another Bartomeu in the making. I don't trust him.

Him mentioning Xavi every single time is annoying as hell. Xavi doesn't have much experience.... and he's suddenly supposed to make us the best team in the world again? With no money?

I don't want Xavi for now. I feel he needs a few more years at a better club that he's currently managing. With having no money and a squad that's all over the place, it's going to end in tears. It'll be a similar situation to what Ole is having with Man Utd at the moment.... except, Ole has had money to spend. Xavi won't have any money to spend.

Xavi doesn't need money to spend, we have Riqui and the rest of La Masia kids (who will all turn out world class) coming up.

Who is he?

V?ctor Font will include Ramon Cugat in his board of directors if he is elected president of FC Barcelona in January. This is the third major addition after announcing the "signings" of Toni Nadal, former coach and uncle of tennis player Rafa Nadal, as well as the journalist and director of the newspaper 'Ara' Antoni Bassas.

Ramon Cugat, a member of FC Barcelona number 18,905, will contribute to the strategic decisions that the future director of Victor Font would take in the medical field of the club, as well as to the new area of psychology and behaviour. He will also advise on all sports and institutional issues in which he can contribute his experience.

Dr. Cugat holds a degree and a PhD in Medicine and Surgery and is a specialist in orthopaedic surgery and traumatology. Of international prestige in the field of sports medicine, he is a member of the medical team of the Mutualidad de Futbolistas Catalanes and the medical team of the RFEF.

He has operated on thousands of football players of all categories. One of the most recent, the already mentioned operation sel last Monday, November 9th to Ansu Fati. It has also treated azulgrana football players such as Pep Guardiola, Xavi Hern?ndez, Carles Puyol, Andr?s Iniesta, Samuel Eto'o and Cesc F?bregas, among others.

Ramon Cugat has been a pioneer in Spain in arthroscopy operations and was a member of the team of orthopaedic surgeons at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games

Victor Font, pre-candidate for the presidency of Bar?a, on Monday presented the journalist Antoni Bassas (Barcelona, 1961) as the "number two" in his candidacy, although he added that if he won the elections, Bassas would not become the club's vice-president, but the head of the president's cabinet.

After having announced Toni Nadal as a member of his candidacy, Font revealed Bassas as his "right-hand man" in the management of the club.

"Bassas would assume the head of an executive area of maximum relevance, such as the cabinet of the presidency with extensive tasks and, of course, in matters of communication", said Font.

"It is not that Bassas is going to assume the role of vice-president, because I visualise a board in which this type of position does not exist because we will minimise the positions associated with specific people," added the pre-candidate.

Bassas would also take on tasks related to the Bar?a Foundation and the events celebrating the club's 125th anniversary.

THE FUTURE OF MESSI

Bassas stressed that Bar?a cannot lose its relationship with Messi, even when the Argentinean ends his career as a player. "Whatever happens with the end of his career, which I hope will be at Bar?a, the association with Messi cannot be lost: the best in history grew up in La Masia, he has given us years and years of football that we will never forget".

RECOVER THE VALUES
"I don't like to see Bar?a succumb to self-destruction. We have been emptying the club's values of content, even the 'more than a club'," lamented Bassas, who said he would try to "contribute to a calm debate on all this, so that we can offer members and society a debate without testosterone and without bad-mouthed professionals.

Bassas, a journalist with a long career, now works for the newspaper 'Ara'. In 1999 he directed the TV3 programme 'Aquest any, cent', a programme dedicated to Bar?a's centenary.

"The club is going through a period of profound change: the club can no longer live with the structures it has always had", added Bassas.

"Bar?a could win or lose, but it made me proud. You can't always win, but you have to try to never lose the joy of belonging to a club like Bar?a," he added.

NEYMAR, NO
Questioned about the possibility of Neymar returning to Bar?a, Font admitted that from a strictly sporting point of view, "he would fit in perfectly with the team", but ruled out his return to the club "for obvious reasons, because he is a player who is in demand at the club and because he left us in the lurch at the time".

THE POLITICAL KEY
Font was also surprised by Javier Tebas' statements, in which the president of LaLiga called on all the pre-candidates to put aside their pro-independence theses.

"I don't know why Tebas said that, I don't even know him in person, but in my candidacy there are people of all ideologies," he said.

"Bar?a's founding roots are Catalanism, but Bar?a is a transversal club: it is an institution through which we make a country, but what we are concerned with is bringing together the maximum possible talent, regardless of the ideology of each individual. We don't look at ideology or the political party they vote for, we just try to build a team of talent.

Bassas lamented that "normally, those who insist most on not politicising the club are those who talk most about politics".

ALLIANCE WITH LAPORTA?
Font did not want to confirm a possible meeting with Joan Laporta, although he did acknowledge that "I have been seeing all the former presidents". He insisted, however, that the ideal is "to join forces, but with a clear idea of protecting our project".

Interview with Toni Nadal

What arguments did Victor Font use to convince you?

He explained his project, his vision of FC Barcelona and the situation. He gave me a very good feeling as a person, I thought he was serious, responsible and hard-working. Besides, let's not deceive ourselves, being part of a project in a club like Bar?a excites everyone.

Even so, in the case that 'Yes to the future' wins the elections, are you clear about where you are going?

Obviously I know where I get. For someone who is dedicated to sport, being connected with FC Barcelona is an illusion. I am a member of Bar?a, I have always liked football, I have had a brother who has played there... so obviously I am excited. I never expected an easy life with my nephew. I don't expect things to be easy at Bar?a either. V?ctor Font knows that he can get into a complicated place but the illusion and the desire help to overcome the difficulties.

What role do you imagine yourself playing within the club?

I don't know, it depends. First we are going to wait for Victor to win. He explained to me above what he expected from me so we will have to talk about it and see the possibilities.

It says in the 'Yes to the future' programme that you are an expert in managing adversity, values and overcoming.

(Smiles and cuts me off) No, no, no.... I like to work on some principles that I consider basic in sport. Implanted do not assure you neither titles nor great successes, but they give you a greater possibility of obtaining them.

Any player has an 'A' level and an 'A+' level. If he is committed, eager and does things well he can achieve this 'A+'.

What are they?

Any player has an 'A' level and an 'A+' level. If you are committed, eager and do your best you can achieve this 'A+'. I have been told that the world of football is complicated and difficult, but for me it is all about sports. We must try to make a winning club but knowing that it is not easy. But if we create the conditions so that everybody feels comfortable and that they are aware that they represent one of the best clubs in the world, we will be closer.

Attitude?

What bothers us is to put our passion into someone who then does not try until the end. This is something we have to achieve from the lower to the higher categories. Everyone within FC Barcelona must know the entity they represent and have a total commitment to the club, from the president to any employee.

For us it is very bad news that the best player in history does not want to be with us. We are going to try to make this happen

In the event of assuming the presidency, the department of Behaviour and Institutional Relations will be created. If it already existed, would Leo Messi's bureaucracy not have arrived?

What I am clear about is that for us it is very bad news that the best player in history does not want to be with us. Particularly it knows me very bad that in a given moment it considers to leave the club. We are going to try that this is redirected. If Victor wins we will try to do things as well as possible.

Do you see yourself capable of conquering Messi to stay?

I do not know if I see myself capable, but that I would try for sure. I wish they would give me the opportunity to try. I would like to see him win another Champions with us. Winning the golden ball and I would like him to help us make an exciting project.

I always trust the best and Messi has been the best in the world for many years

Do you see him as unmotivated?

No. In the games I have seen, I see him motivated and at a good level. I always trust the best and Messi has been the best in the world for many years, he still is and I am convinced that he has yet to give us much satisfaction at the club.

Victor Font believes that we must work for the post-Messi era

For the moment we have to try to get Messi in. This is the condition sine qua non, but unfortunately Messi will not be eternal and will leave a great void to all of us who have enjoyed him for so many years.

But the club will continue

There is no other choice, the club is more than 100 years old, it has been without Messi and at some point unfortunately we will have to be without him again, so we have to prepare ourselves well.

A club like Barcelona moves between 800 and 1,000 million euros and has to be managed very well

How?

A club like Barcelona moves between 800 and 1,000 million euros and has to be managed very well. To be able to continue to maintain a highly competitive level, a level where you can face up to Bayern, Chelsea, Madrid... all those big clubs, you have no choice but to create a very professional infrastructure and management model with people who are very well prepared. Above all, we are going to ensure that the club maintains its ownership, that it belongs to all the members. We need a very good economic management thinking about Messi and the post-Messi.

With the money in the field?

Yes, we have to achieve the maximum commitment from everyone, from the lower categories to the first team. I am sure that with that the performance will be very good. But obviously we have to have the possibility of signing the best players in the world. Barcelona always has to have the capacity to go out to the market to sign the best ones and that these want to come.

There is not more remedy than to arrive at an agreement for the reduction of the salary

Is it necessary to reach an agreement for the salary reduction?

There is no alternative. In the current situation we have to look after the interests of the club, see what is economically feasible. If you ask Victor Font he will surely answer you better.

Any sportsman what he has to try is to arrive at his maximum level, but almost never it will be the one of Messi although I believe that Ansu Fati is a great player

Could the young people who are emerging as Ansu Fati, Pedri, Tricao... become the new Messis?

Being a Messi I see as very difficult for anyone. It is almost impossible. To be the best in history is very difficult. Any sportsman what he has to try is to arrive at his maximum level, but almost never it will be the one of Messi although I believe that Ansu Fati is a great player and by age and conditions he is one of the possible great cracks of the era post-Messi, Pedri also seems to me very good and Trincao also.

Do you like Koeman?

Koeman is doing well. After how we finished last year with the 8-2 of Bayern and without having obtained titles, it was bad sensation, but I believe that the equipment is responding well, we have recovered the order and I believe that the level now is very good, if it is going to be enough to us to gain the Champions I do not know it but it seems that we are not going to be very far from it.a to armor our project.
