Issue witht hat is that there are plenty of CBs who looked just as good if not better with VASTLY more titles. He's a Pique level talent (which is a compliment!) without the titles.

How many CBs go entire seasons without being dribbled past or losing an aerial duel while playing in a ridiculous high line system with no cover whilst being better than most midfielders on the ball?
You get that level of scrutiny when Liverpool fans claim he's the goat CB, which quite frankly is absurd

Turns out he wasn't at fault for any of the goals and was let down by his teammates who made schoolboy errors because of the fatigue and lack of concentration.
Keep living rent free in their heads, Virgil. BEST IN THE WORLD. Far better than the CBs of your club, past or present (Don't see any AC Milan or Bayern fans here so.....).

VVD is levels above Pique individually. Pique is closer to someone like Varane who did his job alongside all time great players in successful teams but could never carry a defense like VVD could.

Every time Pique and Puyol faced Ronaldo and ADM 1 v 1, they ended up on the floor falling upon their fat ass.
Meanwhile, even Mbappe and Traore can't beat VVD 1 on 1 with half the pitch to run into.
