I thought there were plenty of madridistas calling out how much they disliked the idea of Kepa and would rather let Lunin try based on how he did season prior.

Probably more of them just wanted a keeper that has clearly played better than Lunin for longer. Didnt get that with Kepa.
I've certainly seen far more people sounding off how big a masterclass that loan was to start with, when in reality was just a gamble to fill space and hope for the best

Szczesny would probably be the best of a predictably underwhelming bunch when you’re looking at free agent market.

Depends on the level he’d show, hard to predict with him being retired and all but if his last season is anything to go by, wouldn’t be a big downgrade from Mats.
