The captain of FC Barcelona, Alexia Putellas, launched her new foundation this Wednesday, 'Eleven', with which she will work to try to improve opportunities for girls in vulnerable situations through football. At an event held at the Casa Seat in Barcelona, the footballer was accompanied by Xavi Puig, director of Barça women, Elena Fort, vice president of Barça, and several well-known faces from Barça basketball such as Roger Grimau or Ricky Rubio.

Alexia aspires with 'Eleven' to reduce gender inequality in sport and provide more than 300 girls around the world the possibility of enjoying and learning about football. The foundation not only seeks to teach them about the sport, but also offer them a platform for developing leadership skills and confidence. "Football is more than a game; it is a way to inspire and motivate girls to be strong and confident. We want every girl to have the opportunity to develop, no matter their situation," says Alexia.
