Someone mentioned the idea of getting Michael Laudrup as our manager for next season, and I was thinking about that idea too. IMO, it could be a good idea. Don't get me wrong, Tito's done well, the team had a great first half of the season with him in charge. However, I think Laudrup could be great as our manager. First of all, he played for us in the 90s, and, from what I've heard, we played with a similar style to the one we use now. I also hear his Swansea team play a similar style to us. Basically, he should be very familiar with our style. He's also done pretty well with Swansea.

We could make Tito the assistant manager again and tbh, I think he'd welcome a less stressful job after all he's been through.

I heard the idea on a thread here and thought it could be a good one, and wanted to see what everyone else thought about it.

Edit: Just remembered that he moved from Barca to RM so he's probably not popular with fans (here or anywhere). I just think that if we were to get a new manager (which I know is unlikely), for whatever reason, he could be a perfect fit. But Tito has been pretty good (we even did well in the clasicos in the first half of the season, besides the 2nd leg of the super cup), we were great with him in the first half of the season, so we definitely don't NEED a new manager.

HELLLLL no. Tito knows the squad inside out along with all the tactics and will do a great job at evolving the team with new, younger players (Thiago, Cuenca, Tello, Deulofeu, Montoya, etc.). The only downside was his bump this season with the cancer. While too much has gone wrong in his time away for him to fix this season, he'll have a fresh start next season to build on the team and adjust to the next era. We shouldn't rush his treatment right now because it's too late for him to fix it. All we need is for him to rest and regain his health and slowly get back into this job without that much stress.

Laudrup is doing well, but we have our own coach.

Thank you, thank you and thank you!

My thoughts exactly. Tito was doing absolutely fantastic until Cancer resurfaced and Roura took over, then everything went downhill seemingly. But I till have immense faith in Tito.

Agree. It's not like we need a new manager, just heard the idea on one of the threads and thought it was an interesting/good one. But yes, Tito has been great (even in the few big games we had with him in charge; we tied RM with Adriano and Mascherano at CB, and owned Atletico and Malaga), and Laudrup did play with RM so he's probably not popular with the club or the fans.

If Tito's treatment ensures that what happened doesn't happen again, I suppose I don't see any reason to get a new manager.

No. If we do get a new manager, I want one from outside the Barca system. Somebody who would probably introduce some new elements into the team and hopefully make it stronger.

yeah, getting one from barca system will only continue our old tactics. Tito isn't really a tactician. it was clear that he always go with the safer line-up every game. same players every game.

knowing this current management and board. i wouldn't be surprised if they replace Tito with Roura as a manager.
