Xavi Hernández

Xavi publicly admitting that the squad needs work despite the levers pulled and the targets identified isn't just a failure on Xavi, Deco etc but also a failure for Laporta.

This time he's finding things much harder to get Barca back on track, yes the financial situation plays a part in that but I have to wonder without the guidance around him if the signings would be any better even without FFP.

The personnel he needs right now are basically all employed at Manchester City.

Journalist Javier Miguel claims that Laporta's advisor, Alejandro Echevarria, has contacted Xavi to seek an agreed exit.

Barcelona is not a reality it's a brand, fairy-tale for those fans saying Vitor is better than Endrick, Araujo pockets everywhere etc. All those who follow the dear leader Xavi and his quest for justice and good football.
:)) You can't admit you are shit and broke after you spent the leavers on Ferran Lol
Yes, Laporta is a fucker but this time is right.

The hype must go on until the stadium is up or it might end badly.
That's the POINT. So we should do our part as Xavi but not really here

According to media Xavi's pre-Almeria words angered Laporta:
I actually think we have a very good chance to get Klopp in 2025, but if Xavi gets sacked and this interview is cited as the reason, then there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that any great manager agrees to work here under those conditions.

Terrible, terrible look for the club.

The current Barça coach has a contract until June 2025 and given the circumstances it does not seem that he is in a position to renounce what he signed. If he is fired, the man from Terrassa would have the right to receive 15 million euros to which he would have to add 5 more for his staff . [Marca]

---

God knows where they pulled this 15m euros from. But if true, Xavi is one of the highest paid coaches.

Sport says:
Xavi 8m
staff 4m
some other sh*** 6m*

total: 18m

*If Barça want to dispense with the services of Xavi and his staff now, they will have to compensate them, assuming the year of the contract they have signed and to which must be added, in addition to the signing, some concepts that would raise the total figure to about 18 million.

Reportedly laporta is primarily pissed because Xavi said the club couldn't sign XYZ players and is in a tough financially situation, while the club signed Torres and Lewa at his personal request, with out limited financing, when they thought other options would have been better.

I can definitely understand, because anyone would be missed to pay 65m for Torres.

Objectively I don't think any coach or president would have done better over the last 3 seasons.

Year one was a wash, no chance we could have won anything, but after January the club did a good job getting better players.

Year two we won the league.

This season, no other coach would have won the league for us, with the injuries we've had, especially at GK and we were a red card away from getting to the SF.

The signings bar ferran haven't been bad at all, no way to tell if other players would have done better.

Luuk,Auba, lewa, raphinha, Kounde, Christensen, Martinez, gundogan, all good to very good signings.

The only question is, if we think a new coach would do a better job going forward, Xavi isn't a tier A coach and has known weaknesses, so can be get someone to better? Sure, the question is who.

We will never though, overall the signings were mostly solid tbh. Most players that were frustrating to fans were essentially free, like Cancelo, Felix, Depay etc. Most signings that cost something was solid with the exception of Ferran, with jury still on Roque.
Txiki for example was the guy who went to Portugal to buy Quaresma instead of Cristiano, who also signed someone like Ezquirro, Keirrison, Henrique, Caceras and Thuram.
There is always errors, and no SD can work without margin of error tbh.
Those who are working in City, never worked with a limited budget. To say they will do better is speculative, as they never had to.
In a way Xavi was right, but I can understand why Laporta is frustrated, he was willing to go the extra mile with him and Xavi has been complaining a lot tbh.

Yes, Fatporta took it personally, thinking he pulled those levers for Xavi to pick top players, and now he gets that kind of ungratefulness in return

Problem is that he woke up after 2,5 years of Xavi belittling the club with every word coming out of his mouth, with an unacceptable entitlement, a serious lack of common sense, and an overblown ego
a walking and talking toxicity for 2.5 years

No Laporta sorry,
'too little too late' as they say

I am speechless. Just when you think this club couldn't sink any lower....this happens. Obviously there are alot of factors involved here but the state of this club under Laporta is abysmal.
He has trusted two men Xavi and Deco who have no business being here. Both are ex players but not qualified for their respective positions.
I hope Xavi leaves and doesn't get paid out. I also hope Marquez isn't the next coach. At the moment there is more entertainment off the pitch, than on it.

I said it early on, Laporta is just as bad as Barto.

Clubs in a financial crisis and this idiot signs Ferran 'The Shark' Torres for 55mil. Imagine. Oh and NOW he and Deco has doubts about Xavi and his transfer targets? fucking hell

Sell off half of the club, rid the club of this political garbage and nepotism and join the future or become Bilbao and accept midtable players, midtable managers - go full on Catalan and continue to hope for the arrival of the next Pep. Barca needs to make it's mind up quick though because personally I'm going off football more with every passing season.
