Absolutely unrealistic expectations on a squad full of shit players to believe FC Barcelona has any business playing European football. We have replaced world Champion footballers with third rate rejects like Romeu and Christensen. We have not had a worse starting eleven since the likes of Reizinger, Cristanval, Coco and Gabri made a mockery of our club. I have already said before, it will be bloody miracle if we can qualify for the Champions league next year. People are living in fantasy world if they expect anything out of this gang of rejects and has-beens. The only players in the squad worth keeping are Gavi and Pedri, the rest you could not even offload in a Jumble sale.

Xavi might not be the messiah people were dreaming of since the days of Pep, but given the state of our club and the complete shit show our squad is, no manager on the planet could do much more that what Xavi has already done. Considering the absolute turd this club has turned into, I seriously doubt either Gavi or Pedri will stick around for much longer and then it is total darkness with a billion Euro in the red, good luck to any new president and manager to turn this disaster around, it's not going to happen.
The squad is not that bad.
There are smaller clubs with shittier squad's that play better football than us, both in Spain and Europe.

Granted positions like RB, LW and DM are weak but that's the hand we have to play.

There's no excuse for the cl exits. In fact Xavi holds the record when it comes to exiting Europe. 4 comps in 2 years.

Results in Europe have been shit.
Domestically, winning the league was great success for this squad.
Main issue is we don't seem to improve the quality of play and it'd been two years.
A round of 16 in champions league should be a given this season, also considering we are on pot 1.
a group stage exit should automatically lead to xavis sacking.

Quoting Pep on the calendar as reason for Araujo injury.

He needs to calm down on that excuse.

Barca have had the Gamper which is a home friendly more or less v Spurs B team as only game in ten days previous to the league starting.

Pep is referring to City being down at Community Shield then having league game away to Burnley, Super Cup in Europe then a home game v Newcastle 3 days later. They then have the World Club Cup to squeeze in also.

That is four games in two weeks. Three of them away and one in Europe while EPL gives them a game on the Sat when played away in Europe on the Wed.

What the fuck is Xavi on about the calendar when looking at Araujo?

Makes no sense and weak to try and piggy back off Peps legitimate gripes as an excuse.

Nah he is parroting Pep when asked about Araujo injury now.

The calendar Barca had last season and start of this no even comparable to City.

Latest from the Guiness Book of Sneaky Excuses.

Calma Xavi.

When will this idiot stop making excuses and start improving the team.
I'm pretty sure this will be his last season in charge, even if he wins the league.

We will go on a strike if he is sacked.

That is if he wins the league.

Don't worry

Deco and Laporta are strongly considering Marquez as Xavi's replacement. For everyone who wants Xavi to be gone just be aware that we could get potentially an even worse and less experienced coach.

Really, does anyone believe top coaches would come anywhere near this club in current financial state when midtable EPL teams can guarantee them over 100m for new signings? Forget it. Xavi is far from perfect but our best option right now.

We also very rarely sign proven coaches. Bobby Robson and LVG were last ones. In this century besides LVG's (very short) second stint EV and Koeman were the most decorated and proven coaches at the time we hired them. Rijkaard got Sparta Rotterdam relegated from Eredivisie for the first time in their history. Pep coached Barca B in 4th division for a season. Tito (RIP) was a rookie coach. Tata never coached in Europe before or after Barca. Lucho did well at Celta but flopped at Roma.

It's just the way this club has operated for decades now regardless of who was in charge. We can dislike it but this approach is unlikely to seriously change anytime soon.

Barca media guessing... saying Xavi not in any trouble but Marquez or a Mendes client most likely to be given chances if Xavi was to leave.

More or less a non story.

Marquez seems to have a great eye for talent, but I saw B in the flesh and let me tell ya, never seen a more passive non responsive manager. Letting the action pass him by and not making a change before it's too late.

So if Xavi frustrates you, I can only imagine what it would be like under Marquez.

JN is still available, no?

If we don't do well this season I would give him a shot.

In terms of his selections from what he is given. I trust his judgement, put it that way.

Cant think of any huge calls he has made either way or players he has been responsible for giving more chances than was expected.

It is fairly clear who the better players are in team for most part.
