Those are just isolated games. Ahead of Shakhtar in CL, ahead of all those other teams in the league. Barca are superior and the standings in CL and La Liga reflect that.

Only team that is on a hot run atm and punching much above their quality is Girona.

The only 2 matches in this season which were really fun to watch were the 5-0 against Antwerp and 5-0 against Betis, maybe also the 4-3 against Villareal even tough conceding 3 goals are too much so i see playing bad not as bad moments but a constant linear progression in a wrong direction

That is gonna be the norm. Should be understood as such.

You can sack Xavi, this is not going to change until you get some top class players in. Nobody is gonna achieve big things with this team playing top football with low spending.

Just not gonna happen.

Top players in? Look how sociedad plays. This thing we do is simply terrible. No attacking pattern, i cant remember when was the last time we scored by team cohesion and combination. To be honest and fair, its not that bad, but its very far from what this set of players should produce.

Dude, Sociedad achieved nothing. The aim is not to play nice and win jack shit.

Only teams to be jealous at in recent years in terms of titles + football played are City, Madrid and Liverpool. That's about it. All of these teams having better managers, better teams, and much more money put in than us.

Don't need to aim to be like Sociedad, Brighton or some teams like that. Incredible really .

Barca are already champions of Spain, something Sociedad is not going to be anytime soon.

1) Koeman got the team in a position to challenge for a title that seemd unimaginable until January that season. Atleti and Real were both stronger that season.
The football the team played for 3 months that spring under Koeman with 3-5-2 was better than all the football played under Xavi

9th place is a load of crap as it has been pointed out many times to you, and you purposefully ignore it.
At the beginning of seasons, the point difference from 9th to 2nd place might be only 6 points, with many teams crammed together with 1-2 pt difference between them. That's what happened then as well.
The real cause for his firing was Laporta never really wanted him and made the dreadful decision to do it midseason

2) Setien didn't have authority indeed in the locker room, with the blame to the Amigos and the board for that.
But the point still stands: he wasn't given anything close to time and authority to prove himself

Ok, busted
Your bias is self-confessed
Lol let not kid yourself. Koeman was terrible and he lost every big games that season. He even bottled the league, lost to Granada at Camp Nou.

Please never mention Setien again. Worse than garbage.

Xavi has his problems but is much better than both.

Understand that to win titles in a tough league playing great football is a huge bar to get to. It can't be done that easily. You have to consistently be better than some top 5-6 teams in Europe.

Those weaker, smaller teams play better football than current Barca. With weaker squad, less money.

Xavi was supposed to be the revolutionary, right? But there is no difference between him and EV or Koeman (bottled chance to win Liga though).

Don't care about "better" football unless it leads to titles. Great football under hard pressure to win titles is very very rare.

Barca is not some sort of B rate club. It always was about winning titles.

Hard to compare EV and Xavi since the teams they managed are totally different.

Can't know how good Xavi is because he so far worked on a low budget compared to someone like Arteta for example. You need big funds to build an elite team in 2020s.
