Midfield has ok depth. De Jong, Romeu, Gavi, Pedri, Gundogan, even Roberto is better midfielder than defender. Not many elite players there, but it's good, only 2-3 teams have better options in this area.

What we need to do is quickly get the LW and RB sorted. No more screwing around. And once that happens, Romeu has to disappear from midfield.

The worst manager in la liga by far.
Sam Allardyce would make outshine this moron.
We are looking like a relegation zone club.
Where are Iniestagoat and Serghei?
We have no swagger, no patterns of play, nothing...

We needs more balls .. we need guts .. only Frankie sends long passes .. Kounde did that few games back .. Yamal tries to do dangerous dribbles.. Gundogan does risky passes for 30 minutes while he has energy

We need more of this. We need men with balls

And btw Xavi is gay

He's lucky there are a select few players in this squad who can still make the difference in whatever shit he's serving up on a plate for tactics and setups.

Far too driven by getting positive results as possible while trying to play the "These guys need to be better blah blah blah" like he's the second coming of Pep.

I'd say Xavi is a possession football conservative, like Van Gaal was. Extremely cautious in a defensive way, even if not necessarily by choice but by hesitance of taking risks and losing the ball. Pep for example takes way more risks in offense. It's why his pressing scheme was vital to his Barca team, he saw pressing as a way to allow him to take more risks in attack.

Some possession managers simply are too obssessed with control. Without a bit of chaos it's difficult to create many chances. You have to embrace a bit of unpredictability and learn to deal with it.

Take the Villareal game. Yes it was chaotic, but the good part is that we created a huge no of chances.

No. Van Gaal coaches great patterns of offensive play. Xavi has no offensive patterns of play.

Pep plays like he sees ways to win.

Xavi plays like he sees ways players can let him down and overly trusts players he sees Spanish/Barca DNA in.

played off the pitch by Ossasuna B even after they went down to 10 men. Disgraceful! Every play Balde looking for options in frustration cause there's no coached movement or pattern. Same thing with Gundogan and FdJ everyone looked lost as to what to do with the ball.

Looks like there's no drills to create patterns of play or attacking ideas during training.
