I think winning last season was mainly do to luck and Ter Stegen`s form and had very little to do with Xavi at all.
It could have been nearly anyone coaching us and that feeling persists this season also but without the lucky results, even if we had a few of those this year too.
Problem is that from looking from outside, he doesnt seem like a coach and seem to have next to no help from his staff.
Incompetence from top to bottom.

If Xavi leaves, then likely Laporta will choose Flick. He said before that he liked to have a German coach.

Birdy will turn into serghei if that happens

Winning last season was based on a "couple of three things":

1) Every La Liga team completely underestimating Barca, believing we are done, bankrupt and on Valencia path
2) Real Madrid being unfocused in La Liga and yet facing great challenges from others as the team to beat
3) I don't want to say it, but Busi and Jordi Alba contributed. Imhotep is Imhotep. You can't substitute greatness.

Now I wonder how much did we lose with Gavi's injury. Some players are unrecognizably poor in recent weeks, especially now Gavi is done for the season.

You're welcome
@Windhook Point is we should at least be playing better with players we have. Regardless of how things would look with imo. We look incapable of scoring goal amongst a list of other things.

Hope you're trolling.

1) Nah. The team approached every game with a positive attitude and worked hard in every one of them. This season it's not the same.
2) Probably, but Barca would have won regardless. Madrid are known to not produce 2 back to back great La Liga seasons. It is confirmed again.
3) Of course Busi and Alba are missed. Busi, for example, is a much superior DM compared to someone like Oriol.

The squad is worse than last season imo.

That's the part I skipped talking about previously. Kounde, Christensen and Pedri are not the same players of last season. Does it have anything to do with Busi's absence, I don't know. The fact is none of them three are playing on the same level as last season.

These things happen though. If it carries over the season and the team doesn't turn it around, then the manager is gonna be under pressure.

But it's early to panic imo.

At the end of the day, the performances in La Liga vs poorer sides than us have been disappointing.

Last time I felt helpless about Barca was when Messi left the club. Those meaningless losses, like last night, in Europe are just peanuts in the big picture.

Barca are doing just alright about their standards. Without losing their identity. If you want 20 consecutive CL triumphs, let's sell the club to Mohammed Bin Salman.
