the stats simply show minutes played, because some people were claiming that poor yaya barely featured in the first half of the season.

clearly, that is poppycock and he had plenty of time to prove his worth, he just didn't take it. no one's fault but his own.

What game did we lose because of Busquets?

well we conceded that goal to atleti when we were like 4-0 up. that was pretty bad.

he was part of collective defensive cataclysms vs. depor and arsenal too. although we didn't lose either game.

and if you wanna talk results. first half of the season sergi started only one game in which we dropped points (1-1 atleti) and came on late in two others (0-0 valencia, 1-2 rubin) whereas yaya started 4/5 times we dropped points (playing 90 minutes every time) and had swine flu and was unavailable on the other occasion.

U have to look at what the players do. You are looking at main team results. We change players often so u might want to look at which players played or didnt play with Yaya or Busquets (and their form; and the opponents) instead of looking at the whole result.
It only shows you are biased.

Not true I can remember quite a few time when Yaya was crap. Like vs Arsenal or Espanyol or even Stuttgart( though he's excused since most of the team was crap in the first half that game )

Also it's funny how the people that are defending Sergio are immediately seen as people that hate Yaya... seriously we all love Yaya we're just realistic to the problem.

We do 've one option in the Academy. An 18 y.o regular for Spain 19s, playing for B.Atlètic/Youth A atm. Acc. to Jam, he is your modern DM. Better built than Busi, offers something diff and has a knack of scoring goals from what i 've studied him...He was rumoured to go on loan to stoke city last year. Pep played him in the kazma friendly and also included him in the FIFA club wc squad. Whether hes ready to be Busi's cover is something only Pep knows. But hes certainly a gr8 propect. His inclusion in the pre-season could also be a possibility...

And for his age he looks badass.

He's enlisted as Juvenil A player, but he has featured certain games for Atletic as well this season. It would be interesting seeing him with the first team during the pre-season as he has heaps of strength, passing ability and presense in overall. On top of things, he's a caucasian replica of Yaya

rubbish analysis.
Meta should never be allowed touching statistics again.

We never lost because of Yaya tourés actions. We did loose couple of times because of Busquets mistakes.
We suffer in defense. If u play Busq. u make it even worse.
+ that. Yaya makes rushes to the frontline from time to time which has saved our asses.
Busquets is just another "passer"

We need to have both.

Letting Yaya go would be worse than signing Hleb

That's ridiculous. I'd love it if you could give me a single case where we dropped points due to a mistake by Busquets. Everyone makes mistakes, and none of Busquets's mistakes turned out to be costly so far, so I don't see why it's a problem. We dropped points vs Atletico Madrid because Xavi lost the ball to Reyes who assisted Forlan for the opening goal, we dropped points vs Osasuna because Pique scored an own goal, we dropped points vs Almeria because Puyol scored an own goal, and we dropped points vs Valencia because Pedro missed a good number of sitters. I don't see you having a go at them? I'm no fan of Busquets, I hate divers, but none of your arguments are valid.

Please, can Yaya-defenders put up a single good argument as to why he deserves more playing time than Busquets?
