There is absolutely NOTHING Yaya will be able to do to get a starting spot over Pep's lover boy Sergi B, this is becoming more and more clear. It has nothing to do with his work rate, ability, attitude, it all has to do with the fact that Pep favors Busquets so much that he would sacrifice Yaya just to let him get more first team experience.
He said something today about him having to make a decision about his Barca future if he doesn't get enough playing time.
I mean seriously, I can't believe he has to prove or fight for his place in the starting eleven?! That is just outrageous, I don't even remember him playing badly to get benched in the first place. He was one of our best players last season and wouldn't have won the treble without him. The fact that Pep keeps choosing Busquets over him is really worrying, I'm all for youth products, and with Busquets being a decent player who can develop and all, but Yaya is simply MILES ahead.
Pep choosing Busquets for the Clasico last night over Yaya was probably the biggest mistake he's made in his entire 2 years as coach and could have even cost us the match if we weren't lucky. Busquets doesn't have enough experience to start these games (don't tell me about that 1 match against United) all he did was just give away free-kicks and beat the shit out of the Madrid players. I'll all for being aggressive, but he just sucked. Yaya has much better ball-control, physical presence, tackling, positioning, experience. It just pisses me off that no matter how good he plays every season, he still needs to prove himself to Pep all over again.
Sorry about the rant, I just hate to see him leave, Barca is Barca without any player, but letting Yaya go would be the crime of the century.

I would pick Yaya instantly, but we have been over this before:
The problem was again the attack that disturbs the formation and forces Keita to be played.
So basically we're choosing Keita over Yaya? Still a terrible decesion IMO, plus I don't believe in Yaya-Keita not being able to play together, you can make anyone play together if you tune the tactics right, people used to say Xavi and Iniesta together in midfield was horrible because we would get run over and all that talk, look at it now when we play them together all the other team can do is run around...
Bottom line is, we're forcing one of the best DM's in the world out of the team and all he's done is put in very solid performances whenever given the chance. His agent said they're willing to listen to offers from Man City and Chelsea, I don't blame him really... a 26 year old player of his class shouldn't be wasting time on the bench, especially if the player taking his place is Busquets.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that Busquets is becoming Pep's "sacred cow" (along with Keita to a lesser degree)... I said that before, and I don't mean to bash neither Seydou or Sergio, but I think Yaya deserves a place in our midfield... I understand that Sergi needs to grow, but playing him ahead of Yaya in every match is not right IMO... I said it before the Clásico, if Yaya is fit, he should start, his muscle is very important and his passing is better than Sergio's but now it's history...
