he was a big big miss for France against Sweeden.

He was already very good... It was quite a shock when he signed for New Castle. May be people weren't really confident on a player hailing from Ligue 1

For once I actually agree with you completely, HBA.
I have not watched any of Newcastle's games last season (apart from a few highlights) so I don't know how Cabaye has performed in the PL on a weekly basis.
However I have seen him play for France and there he has never disappointed me. He seems like a very complete box-to-box midfielder and he was missed against Sweden.
In short I have been impressed with him and with a little bit of luck he would have scored against England and made another goal against Ukraine.
HBA though, is a completely different discussion. But he also only played about 70 minutes or so - most of them against Sweden were every French player was a disaster.

That's strange since Ligue is part of the "top 5 of best European leagues" club and have been so for years. There are a lot of legends of the PL, Serie A and La Liga who came from Ligue 1. It's still the main "exporter" of talents from the 5 major European leagues.

Yeah, I was surprised by that also. I don't actually know if there was any serious interest from other clubs be it PL, Serie A or La Liga. Now I heard (a few weeks ago) that Chelsea and Man Utd were interested but I don't know the reliability of such rumours.
I would actually not complain if we bought him on the cheap if Keita moved. Another player I have been impressed with has been Alou Diarra but he has always been a very good player that nearly always performed well. A shame that he wanted to stay in France when there was interest from us a few years back.

He is good but not the so called "Barca quality" Thiago is much better,he should sign for United,he would be a regular there.

What is Barca quality? Did you deem Keita good enough when he first moved to FCB? The philosophy of the club is not to buy the best players for every position but to buy talented and good players that would fit our team, system and philosphy. Personally , based on what I have seen of Cabaye, I think he could be useful squad player. And apparently there has been interest from major top clubs so he must have done something right.
Anyway my point was not to discuss whether Cabaye is good enough for FCB (which I think you can guess since I wrote 1 line about that) but that I understand the interest for him.

As a squad player well why not but what i was trying to say is that buying him won't make a difference coz we've got Thiago and Cesc too.

This guy could become a massive player in the future and we are gonna buy him and make him rot in the bench,that isn't fair instead allow him to move to a club where he will be a regular and vital to the team.

I am not saying that we SHOULD buy him, I am just saying that I could see him as a successful squad player.
And M'Vila, the biggest talent among all defensive midfielders would be happy with spending his time as a substitute for Busquets in the most important stage of his career?
Personally I think that would not be good thing for him and I rather see him for Arsenal where he will get plenty of playing time. If he develops well then he can take the next step and move to a bigger club, for example FCB. I would love that.
