love watching him play, is he bigger in Germany then the NT football players?

Actually no. :D
But I think worldwide he is the biggest star. What separates him from football stars is that he is the only German basketball player that is up there with the best. Considering football the whole team consists of several stars and no one really stands out.
What is unique about Dirk is that nearly everyone likes him. He is such a cool dude and a real down-to-earth guy.

Andy Murray is very likely the best ever Scottish sportsperson. I can't think of anyone better? I guess Kenny Dalglish or Denis Law could run him close, but Murray comes the closest to the all-time top of the game than any Scot ever has most likely. Yeah he was a distant fourth to Fed-Rafa-Djoko but he's still one of the best tennis players ever surely.

You know better, of course. If I had to pick I'd go with Dalglish probably, over Andy Murray. Also if this conversation is extended to coaching it's definitely none other than Alex Ferguson for me.

My country - Hristo Stoichkov. He's the brand representing Bulgaria in sports wherever you go. Honorable mentions to Stefka Kostadinova and Naim Süleymanoglu, who was coached in Bulgaria, but defected to Turkey during his U-21 career.
