Don't understand how he would function better as a pivot for us compared to Bayern and Germany. He's not a pure DM, just like Frenkie.

We need a DM who can first and foremost protect the CBs. Secondly to know his limitations and play simple. I don't think we'll be able to get someone better than Christensen with our lack of financial power.

I don't think the idea is a CDM who protects the defense but one who can help in build up from the back and be a deep-lying playmaker.
