If you analyse their best squad

Mane Firmino Salah
Arguably the best front 3 in premier league history.

Wijnaldum Fabinho Henderson
Arguably the 3 greatest workhorses in the modern game fitting Klopp’s system to a tee.

Robertson VVD Matip TAA
Alisson

imo the best backline in football history.

When you look at the teams they were up against in the champions league they really should have done better.

LOL, you take Messigician's takes seriously?
Of course, he DIDNT underachieve, look where Liverpool were before him

The finals he lost were against MAdrid, so they don't count
Was unlucky twice to miss out on City over 1 pt.
He could have 1 CL and 1 EPL more, and it came down to luck

Liverpool were one of the most successful clubs in the world before klopp

Rafa Benitez was arguably just as successful as Klopp but got unlucky in the league

And winning CL VS PRIME MILAN > Tottenham in the worst final in ucl history

You always have to put the results in context... Liverpool went from an average fringe Europe team to a perpetual top contender and top3 team in the world for a long period. Unfortunately, Klopp coincided with a machine of a City that was and is also cheating their butt off.

Missed EPL twice by 1 point, earning like 96? or something which is 99% of the time enough to win any league in the world at any point in history.

Yes I’m aware of that

But look at what happened when a young Mourinho joined Chelsea in the back of winning champions league with Porto

United were also a well oiled machine then just as good as city but Mourinho had much more success

I’m not saying individually any of them are top 1 or anything

Not it’s such a balanced and perfect backline

Only Barca’s come close and Alisson is farrrr better than Victor Valdes

I’d take Robertson over Abidal too

Combined Pep's Barca n Klopp's Liverpool 11 would be:

Alisson
Alves Pique VVD Robertson
Xavi Busquets Iniesta
Salah Messi Mane

Mane is a better player than Pedro. Messi was at his best under Pep as a False 9. Rest of it was easy really.

Salah is the greatest winger in Prem history.

What are you talking about?
When Mou joined UTD were heavily declined.
When SAF built again a team with young Ronaldo Rooney and Tevez upfront, he skinned Mourinho's Chelsea

Plus, Rafa Benitez FLUKED that CL, Liverpool then were 5 tiers below Milan Barcelona and Chelsea

You are prob too young to know that time
