Football is a lot about athleticism and running faster and harder these days, probably more so than ever before.
We can debate whether football should be like that, or if we want it to go back to there being more individual magic in the game. However, while it is this way, these talented forwards simply have to adapt to it and do their bit defensively and in hard work and running and tracking back. Because other teams players will do it. Saka as far as I know is a talented wide player who works very hard, for example. Hard work can be the difference.

Rants been saying Rodrygo's better than Vini and turdle for awhile now and I totally agree. He'd be doing a lot better in his natural position.
Gonna call it a night now, but as you mention Saka, these London based kids are the new breed of modern widemen.
I prefer someone a bit more natural like Lamine obviously, but the sheer amount of talented, hardworking but slightly factory made inverted wingers coming out of the London academies is scary.

Yeah I noticed that too. They all seem very similar to each other - talented, really athletic, quick, tricky. But as you say they work hard too. It's like they're coming off a conveyor belt.
They lack the sheer genius of Lamine (who doesn't in general) but they have a lot of ability and a lot of work ethic. Saka himself falls in that category and is one of the most successful examples.

Rodrygo however? The guy should be running like his life depending on it, he isn't good enough to act too cool for defensive work.

Mbappe is an LW like CR7. He needs to play off a targetman CF.
Playing him as a striker is wasting him.
He's useless with his back to goal. He wants the ball to feet with space to run into or get in behind the defense drifting in from the left.
Basically CR7's role at Madrid.
They need to sell Vinicius and buy a targetman asap.
Playing 3 LWs in the front 3 is a recipe for disaster.
Oh and get a playmaker in midfield to dictate the tempo. Kroos hasn't been replaced.
