I don't rate Mbappe as much as I used to, but to be fair you can make disasterclass videos about anyone. When you compile bad moments.

Same as you can make poor players look like world beaters.

30 goals in his prime, being hyped as THE next big player. Ronaldo and Messi scored 30 goals before breakfast in their prime. And he has still fewer goals than nearly 37 year old Lewandowski, while having played 500 minutes more. He remains extremly overhyped.

His comparison to R9 works only, if compared to fat ronalo version that also played for RM. Still quite fast and very clinical, but has not a thing on peak one until his career breaking injury at Inter.

Mbappe is no slouch technically but R9 was GOAT level in dribbling, underrated in passing, and a better finisher than Mbappe (all my opinion but I think would be a general consensus too).

It's no shame to not be on R9's level. Maybe I missed something but I didn't see anyone comparing him to R9 in here. In the wider world, maybe.
