It doesn't matter if he is cocky. Some of the best players in history were arrogant. What matters is what you do on the field and what you achieve. If he achieves greatness and becomes a superstar, he can act like a star. For that you need CLs, league titles, maybe Ballon d'Ors, the pinaccle of the sport basically both in terms of team and in terms of individual achievements. I like his confidence because he also shows it on the field. He's not a fraud, he looks like the real deal.
