9 - Robert Lewandowski

Yes, his hold-up and link-up play is bad due to his age, but you just can't replace 40+ goals a season easily.

Only players to score above that while playing in a top league recently have been: Messi (multiple times), CR7 (multiple times), Suarez, Lewa, Benzema, Haaland.

Clutch goals today.

He made those two goals, first one out of nothing, the 2nd the pass from de Jong was a bit off, but he controlled and placed it perfectly.

Like i and others said, he was clearly tired towards the end of the year.

Not for nothing if Roque worked out, it would have been planning perfection by the club.

But nothing in Perfect i guess

How much longer does he have in him? Can he maintain his goalscoring next season? After the World Cup he will be 38 and you'd imagine it will be too much.

Not even sure why I was so critical of him. I was probably being too harsh, talking about his all-round game. I have seen him do well in general play this season too.

I think maybe all the fanboy worship by some in here just made me go the other way. I am something of a contrarian. But I will give him his due now and if he has a bad game in future, I will be balanced in talking about it.
